FAQs

Where is the pqrty located?

The party is located at Donna's (Ryan's mother) house, the Murphy Family Homestead - 366 Cumberland Line Road.

Ryan's mother, Donna and her three sisters (Carol, Colleen, Darlene) were raised at this family ancestral farm and we are making it our party headquarters!

Is this a wedding?

No, not a wedding! While we are celebrating our relationship, commitment, and our family, this event is not a wedding. This is a party to bring together all our favourite people and celebrate the blessings in our lives.

Can I bring guests? What about children?

Absolutely! Please feel free to bring guests with you.

Yes! Children are more than welcome to join us. When you RSVP, simply let us know the number of guests in your party and the ages of any children coming with you.

Will there be food/drinks/alcohol served?

There will be snacks, desserts, and light food available, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. We will not be having a formal meal. You are more than welcome to bring food with you (picnic/potluck style)!

We will have some alcoholic beverages on site, however, guests may want to BYOB. Please know that our event strongly encourages the use of designated drivers or pre-ordered taxis (the taxi service on Prince Edward Island is limited). If you anticipate needing a drive home, let us know when you RSVP and we will help sort that out for you!

What do I wear?

Get ready to break out the party wear and dust off those dancing shoes! We love to dress up!

Our celebration will have different events at different times. If you're planning to attend between 4-8 pm, we suggest an afternoon wedding or garden-party attire. If you're planning to attend between 8 pm - 1 am, we suggest you find your party clothes and be ready to shine on the dance floor!

Still not sure what to wear? Feel free to bring more than one outfit and switch it up as the night goes on - we know Kelley has more than one outfit ready!

Help! I need a drive home from the event, what do I do?

Let us know when you RSVP. We will help organize a designated driver for you.

Can I bring a gift or is there a gift registry?
No thank you! We already have everything we need :)

We do understand that guests often feel uncomfortable arriving empty-handed. If that's you, we would love for you to donate to either of these two organizations that are close to our hearts:

Canadian Cancer Society -

Cancer has touched the lives of many of our family members: Kelley (2022), Gerard (2021), Kelley's dad), Jeannie (2018, Kelley's mom), as well as many of our extended family members (grandparents, aunts, uncles) and family friends.

PEI Chapter Hemophilia Society -

Kelley's nephew, Finnegan, was diagnosed with hemophilia at eight months of age. This blood disorder is rare and without proper treatment, can dramatically impact a child's daily life. The PEI Chapter Hemophilia Society is committed to raising awareness and improving the health and quality of life for those living with hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders, and to finding a cure.
